WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY ELECTRICIAN

The Derry Township Municipal Authority is seeking applicants for a full-time Industrial Electrician at a complex wastewater treatment facility in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Candidates shall have a comprehensive knowledge of and related experience in light industrial electrical power (up to 480 volt, three phase) and control systems. Typical job duties include the installation and service of equipment and associated electrical equipment, devices, and related systems in a light industrial setting. Other duties may include running electronic tests and inspections, troubleshooting circuit boards and variable frequency drives, conducting grounding tests, lubricating motors, replacement of outlets and lighting fixtures, and wiring and conduit replacement. Work experience should include the ability to troubleshoot, evaluate, and perform the required work to resolve equipment power problems. All work performed by the plant electrician must meet the regulations of the National Electrical Code. The successful candidate shall have a familiarity with the understanding and use of equipment manuals, circuit diagrams, P&ID drawings, and various hand and diagnostic tools for testing and equipment repair. The successful candidate will typically work both independently and as part of a team.

We seek an employee with a professional manner that has good verbal and written communication skills, who is detail oriented, personable, and who can function successfully as part of a team. Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school with three to four years of work experience and good mathematical and mechanical aptitude. Prior related electrical work experience in the wastewater field is preferred.

Applicants must hold a valid PA driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Applicants are subject to background checks and drug testing.

The starting pay is dependent upon applicant’s qualifications including experience and education. We offer a comprehensive Authority-paid fringe benefit program. WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC

The Derry Township Municipal Authority is seeking applicants for a full-time Industrial Mechanic. The Authority provides wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater management and other related services to the greater Hershey area. Facilities include multiple complex wastewater treatment facilities and numerous pumping stations. Typical duties include regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, and required corrective mechanical maintenance and repair on various sizes and types of wastewater treatment process equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, blowers, valves, conveyors and piping. Other duties include the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems located in the facility buildings. Metal fabrication and welding experience is a plus.
