CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
The Derry Township Municipal Authority is seeking applicants for a full-time Customer Service Representative (“CSR”). The Authority provides wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater management and other related services to the greater Hershey area.
Routine monthly sanitary sewer and stormwater billing is performed by a third party firm using Visual Utility Billing (“VUB”) Software. The CSR will interact with the Authority’s external customers to set up and terminate service, answer questions, and make account adjustments using the VUB software. Miscellaneous billing and account collection responsibilities are involved. This position will also provide occasional support and back-up to the other Authority administrative staff.
The ideal candidate should possess good listening skills to accurately understand and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional fashion. The successful CSR will be capable of accurate, detailed record keeping, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of individuals in a professional office setting.
Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school, and three to five years of progressive and relevant customer service experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook are required.
